Meet the Founder: An Education Leader Dedicated to Building Strong Writing Foundations
I am an experienced English and writing specialist and the founder of Ameza Academy, supporting children in developing strong writing foundations through structured, personalised instruction.
My work combines academic rigour with thoughtful teaching, delivered through online one-to-one sessions and carefully designed group programmes. I specialise in building writing fluency, clear written expression, and confident communication — skills that support long-term academic success across international education systems.
As the owner of a First Class Learning Centre in the UK, my professional awards reflect a sustained commitment to high standards in education and learner development.
I have worked in partnership with British schools, the UK Department for Education, and leading educational organisations, contributing to published educational materials, delivering advanced professional development programmes, and coaching senior school leaders. My professional work has been referenced on international academic and education platforms.
My teaching draws on established, evidence-based programmes used widely in British schools, including Morrells writing, alongside my own professional expertise and classroom experience. From this foundation, I developed the Ameza writing Programme — a bespoke framework that adapts structured writing principles to the individual learner, strengthening letter formation, improving legibility and writing fluency, and supporting confident written expression.
My approach is student-centred and data-informed, ensuring every learner receives targeted support and clear progression. Whether supporting selective school preparation or broader academic development, my focus remains consistent: delivering high-quality teaching that leads to measurable progress, confidence, and long-term success.

Professional Background
With over 16 years of experience in education, I have taught and led across primary, secondary, and alternative provision settings, supporting learners with diverse needs and helping schools achieve measurable academic improvement. My work is rooted in creating inclusive, structured, and high-expectation learning environments where every child can thrive.
Literacy & Writing Expertise
As a former Head of English and experienced literacy specialist, I have supported children in developing confidence in reading, writing, comprehension, and verbal reasoning. I specialise in strengthening writing foundations, academic literacy, and selective school preparation through structured, personalised teaching. I am a certified writing specialist trained in the Morrells writing Programme, supporting students in developing fluency, legibility, and confidence in written work — essential foundations for academic success.
Leadership & School Improvement
Previously I served as Deputy Leader of Academies within the Department for Education. Here I contributed to the oversight and strategic improvement of academy trusts, supporting governance, quality assurance, and school improvement at a national level.
Academic & Professional Credentials
Before entering education, I trained and worked as a Biomedical Scientist within the NHS, bringing analytical rigour and evidence-based practice into my educational work. I serve as a Trustee and Fellow with national education organisations, contribute to professional publications, and have been quoted in academic research and practitioner guidance. I am also a Maths Champion UK, advocating for accessible, inclusive teaching that builds learner confidence.
